Working as a disc jockey at an AM Country Radio Station in Allentown, PA, she cut her teeth in advertising, writing ad copy for radio. Designing sales programs and promotions, she worked for four years in the Specialty Advertising industry in Houston, Texas. Cat designed and sold children's music programs and produced a children's music tape in New Orleans when her children were small. She researched, designed and implemented the planting of a one-acre butterfly garden at a prairie restoration site at her children's elementary school in Sleepy Hollow, Illinois.

Cat has designed web sites and marketing materials for businesses and organizations at elevation all around the greater metro Denver area and published Elevated Living Magazine for 3 years before selling it in 2006.

While transitioning out of the magazine publishing business, Cat jumped into the job of publicity chairperson for the 2006 Conifair where she helped to publicize the event, designing the print collateral used to announce the event. Presently, Cat spends her "community time" involved with the Mountain Resource Center (see the community page) in Conifer, Colorado. She can be found almost daily at Evergreen's "Bark Park" with her furry friend, Boofy.
